09:15 The day of 5 general assemblies starts.

First Daniel Translateur presents what wujs has actually done in the past 6 month since he is functioning as chairman. Then Jonny Clein, wujs executive director, presents the financial situation of the organisation. The condition's not good, as Jonny presents. The outlook is that the organisation will have used all of its financial reserves by end of this year. Jonny speaks of an three- year- plan that should effect in more positive financial results. I will try to interview Jonny on that issue and also HOW he is going to implement this plan.		  
13:00 In this general assembly there is the voting of 3 national unions that have applied for wujs membership: USA, Spain and Argentina.
After a very impressive and professional presentation of their students organisation AmUJS got elected as member of wujs.

Then the Spanish union of Jewish Students JUE held a very chanrming speech and get elected as well.

The decision if to accept the Argentinian Union gets postponed since none of the Argentinians attends this congress.

Now there is an election of a few changings of the wujs constitutions (see www.wujs.org for details). All those changings get accepted by the assembly.
As a second task there is the election of the comptroller. A first great candidate is presenting himself and none of the 7 others are apprearing. The assembly decides that because of the lack of presenting candidates the election isn't run now by the general assembly but is given over to the executive board which will interview all candidates and then choose one.

Now the highlight of the day is arriving: The election of the chairperson of wujs! Nadine, Daniel and Tamar all hold a last speech before the voting and have to answer open and also direrect questions from the audience. An example: Tamar is seriously asked if she has a boyfriend...

In the first round Nadine is out. So the second round should choose the winner (who gets more then 51%).
